Go through the Union to get a mailing list.

Get the information into Teachers Credit Unions.

A Teacher store like The Chalkboard in Illinois is a great place to put this information.

A big topic for teachers right now is Merit Pay.  Most teachers DO NOT support it.  Maybe Ann Taylor Loft can support the teachers this way too?

Just stumbled across this. As a first year teacher budgets are tight but still want to look good. Most definitely will share with my other teacher friends!

To really get the word out you should have a fashion show for teachers with teachers that shop at the loft (like myself) wearing the clothes.  Serve snacks, wine, and you are sure to have a winner!  You can advertise the event through the union newspaper, website and store.  Thanks a million--I love the clothes and feel great going to work in them!  The kids enjoy my outfits too!

I'm a PhD student teaching college composition courses. Many of my friends and I live on very tight budgets but are still expected to look stylish and professional in our university classrooms. Ann Taylor LOFT is a staple in our wardrobes. We can't afford much, but the LOFT pieces we have are probably the most versatile, flattering, high quality, long-lasting clothes we own. Thanks!

Suggestion: we grad students usually don't receive faculty IDs, but we have teaching expectations, style needs, and tight salaries (~$14,000/yr) similar to K-12 teachers. We also give a lot of business to LOFT, as my friends and I can personally attest! Is there some way LOFT's "teacher identification" requirement for discounts could be amended so that grad students teaching college courses can also take advantage of them? Every little bit helps!

As a teacher, it's hard to be fashionable and budget conscious.  As you know, we don't exactly have the highest salaries, especially those of us who teach in Florida!  Yet we're expected to dress like professionals who make 50K+ a year.  Your styles are perfect for the classroom - light weight for moving around with kids, yet warm enough for air conditioning, modern and attractive, high quality and long lasting.  We can look fashionable and young without having to shop at American Eagle with our students.  You should definitely think about marketing yourselves specifically to this niche in the market!
